Where to Go for Prime New England Berry Picking
One of the best things (usually) about this time of the year is that we’re well into the start of vacation season, the first summer festivals (sadface) and — for lovers of pie, shortcake and jam — pick-your-own berry season. Two out of three ain’t bad, anyway.
This year’s pandemic has turned many seasonal expectations on their head, but we still have berry picking — although it may not look or feel like any other season of pick-your-own in your life. Below we’ve both mapped and listed out a state by state breakdown of the prime spots for getting your PYO berry fix.
Check out our recipe for THC or CBD-infused fruit popsicles – a great way to use sun-warmed and freshly picked berries from a nearby farm.
COVID-19 tips for pick-your-own:
- If you’re sick, don’t pick.
- Bring and wear a mask.
- Stay at least 6 feet from others.
- Wash your hands before entering field.
- Check the website or call ahead first, as hours may change.
- Follow the farm’s protocols closely to ensure a safe and fun picking experience for everyone.
